DELMARVA PAINT HORSE CLUB FUTURITY RULES

 
  1. All horses must be eligible for registry with the American Paint Horse Association.
  2. A copy of registration papers or breeders certificate MUST ACCOMPANY the nomination form.
  3. All owners must be members of the Delmarva Paint Horse Club by the date the futurity nomination is made. DPHC membership is $20 (single) or $35 (family).
  4. All Non-Pro exhibitors must have a current youth or amateur card according to APHA rules. A copy of this card must be shown to the Futurity Chairman prior to the show.
  5. Classes with less than three (3) entries will be cancelled.
  6. ENTRY FEES and PAYMENT DATES:
    1. "Early Bird" due by May 5, 2007 $ 60 per class
    2. Regular due by September 22, 2007 $ 75 per class
    3. Late (Sept 23 through Sept 30, 2007) $150 per class
    4. Super Late (due by 8 p.m., on Oct 5, 2007) $300 per class
  7. Added Money: DPHC will make an annual contribution toward the futurity fund. The amount of said contribution will be determined at the February meeting. Prior to the apportionment of added money, all futurity expenses will be paid; $100 will be subtracted and held as start-up fees for the following year. The balance of added money will be apportioned by the total number of paid entries.
  8. All proceeds from entries will be used as paybacks.
  9. Payback of monies will be awarded on the following percentages:

  10. A tiebreaker judge will be drawn for each class prior to the start of the show. His/her placing will be counted twice in the event of a tie.
  11. There will be a $25 office charge for any check that is returned for lack of funds.
  12. All futurity classes are open to regular and breeding stock registry.
  13. Payout will be made no later than five (5) working days after the futurity weekend.
  14. Weanling classes will be split into early/late (for each sex) if there are more than 12 entries.
  15. No refunds or substitutions will be made.
  16. Entries will be transferred with the horse in the event the horse is sold prior to the futurity. The new owner must become a member of DPHC prior to the futurity for the horse to be eligible.
  17. All entries will be subject to drug testing.
